Professor Bart D. Ehrman

Professor Bart Ehrman is the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a bit of a poster boy for us 'walk aways' and his CV is impressive.

More impressive though is his story of how he went from a conservative Christian, with a belief in the inerrancy of the Bible, to an Agnostic, with no faith in the Christian message at all. The Washington Post did a story on him in March last year which I thought was worth noting.

Prof. Ehrman.Your unbelief has been shown. History is on the side of the believer. So stop your hatred of Christianity get real and start accepting the facts of our Blessed Lord and Messiah . The judgement is real. Amen!!!

BART, I ENJOYED YOUR COURSE.FROM JESUS TO CONSTANTINE. YOR ARE A GOOD TEACHER. NOW YOU TAUGHT US EVEN MORE.ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE IS NOT ENOUGH . ONE MUST BE ABLE TO ACCEPT JESUS TEACHINGS AND DEEDS, AS PROOF THAT HE WAS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. ACCEPTING NOT JUST BY FAITH ,BUT BY TRULY UNDERSTANDING HIS WORDS AND DEEDS. REMEMBER IT WAS VERY EDUCATED RELIGIOUS JEWS WHO PUT HIM TO DEATH. GNOSTIC MEANS NOTHING AND ADDS NOTHING TO UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF LIFE. C. PICKEL
